Janaza Expenses for Sister Valerie Coke

inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’oon (To God we belong, and to Him is our return)

Sister Valerie Jean Coke, age 64, born in Maine, and living in Westford, passed away.

Earlier this year, Sister Valerie, a revert to Islam, reached out to Al-Marhama Islamic Burial Services. Nearing the end of her life and having no family, she was deeply afraid that no one would be there to perform her final Islamic burial rights. We comforted her and promised that our community would ensure she is buried with full dignity according to the Sunnah.

To honor Sister Valerie, Al-Marhama Islamic Burial Services will be handling her Janaza. We have launched an online fundraiser to cover the Janaza expenses. Valerie is our sister in faith – please donate generously.

As always, surplus donations received will go to the Al-Marhama Needy Fund to help future families in need.

To donate, please click on the “Continue to Donate” button.

You may also send checks payable to “Al-Marhama” and mailed to 186 Chestnut Hill Avenue, Brighton, MA 02135. Please write “Needy Fund” in the Notes/Memo section. Al-Marhama is a non-profit organization, donations are tax-deductible and zakat eligible.

We will update you when Sister Valerie Janaza Prayer and Burial will be once the details are finalized, inshaAllah.

O Allah, forgive her and have mercy upon her, excuse her and pardon her, and cleanse her with water, snow, and ice, and purify her of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. O Allah, exchange her home for a better home, and her family for a better family. Admit her in Paradise as her ultimate home, protect her from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the fire. O Allah, grant patience to her family and friends and provide them with strength and strong iman to recover from this difficult loss. Ameen.

Please remember the deceased in your prayers.
