Our commitment

Care that honours
every life lived

Al Marhama provides comprehensive Islamic burial services to Muslim families across the Greater Boston area. Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — because loss does not follow a schedule.

We handle every detail with full Islamic observance, so your family can focus on what matters most: being together, grieving, and remembering.

01
Core service

Janaza & Burial Services

The complete Islamic janaza process, handled from the moment of passing to the final burial — performed with reverence, knowledge, and full religious observance.

Janaza and burial services
Ghusl
الغسل

The ritual washing of the deceased according to Islamic protocols, performed by knowledgeable staff with full care and privacy.

Kafan
الكفن

The shrouding of the body in clean white cloth, prepared and wrapped in accordance with Sunnah. We provide all necessary materials.

Janaza Prayer
صلاة الجنازة

Coordination of Salat al-Janaza with local mosques. We work directly with imams to ensure the prayer is conducted with the community present.

Transportation
النقل

Respectful transportation of the deceased from the place of passing to our facility, and from our facility to the mosque and burial site.

Burial
الدفن

Full grave preparation and burial coordination at an Islamic-compliant cemetery. We manage all logistics with the burial grounds on your behalf.

Documentation
التوثيق

We assist families with all required paperwork — death certificates, permits, and documentation — so you don't have to navigate bureaucracy alone.

02
Planning ahead

Pre-Planning & Arrangements

One of the greatest gifts you can give your family is clarity. Pre-planning your arrangements removes an enormous burden from those you love at their most vulnerable moment.

Pre-planning and arrangements
How it works

Arrange your wishes,
at your own pace

Pre-planning is a deeply Islamic act — it reflects awareness of death, gratitude for life, and care for those who remain. Our team guides you through every decision with knowledge and patience.

1
Initial consultation

A private conversation with one of our team members — in person, by phone, or virtually — to understand your wishes and answer any questions.

2
Document your preferences

We record your service preferences, burial wishes, and any specific Islamic requirements so your family doesn't have to make these decisions under pressure.

3
Inform your family

We provide documentation your family can keep on file. When the time comes, one call to us activates everything you've arranged.

03
Community support

Grief & Family Support

Bereavement does not end at burial. Al Marhama walks with families beyond the farewell — connecting them with community, resources, and the support they need to heal.

Guidance through the process

From the moment you call us, we walk beside you — explaining each step, answering questions, and making sure you never feel alone in the process.

Community connections

We connect grieving families with local mosques, Islamic counsellors, and community members who can provide ongoing support after the burial.

Islamic grief counselling

Referrals to qualified Islamic counsellors and scholars who can provide spiritual support rooted in Quranic guidance and Prophetic tradition.

Follow-up support

Our team follows up with families in the weeks after the burial — a simple call to check in, answer questions, and ensure no need goes unmet.

We are ready to help
whenever you need us

Whether you need immediate assistance or want to speak with someone before the time comes, our team is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
